JACK JILDEVIK, PORTRAIT OF THE ABSENT

Portrait of the Absent – 365 is a series of sculptural self-portraits created over 365 consecutive days. Each day, Jack Jildevik composed and photographed an outfit from his personal archive of garments and found objects, creating a portrait without the body itself.

Situated at the intersection of photography, fashion, sculpture, and archival practice, the project explores clothing as a carrier of memory, identity, and emotional attachment.

The book functions as both an archive of the project and a physical record of a year shaped by repetition, accumulation, and daily ritual.
